How many contactless payments can be made in a day?

There is no limit. You can make as many contactless payments as you need. For transaction security reasons, if you make multiple contactless payment attempts in quick succession or payments for large amounts, we may ask you to enter your PIN to verify that the transaction is being made by the cardholder and to protect them in the event of theft.
