What is the interest-free period you offer?

Modified on Fri, 17 Jul at 10:49 AM

The interest-free period is the time during which you can use the funds provided by the bank under your credit card limit free of charge. The condition for being exempt from interest charges is the full repayment of the balance shown on your statement by the specified deadline.

The maximum 57-day interest-free period consists of two stages:

  • 30 days – the billing cycle (the period for making transactions),
  • 27 days – the period for repaying the resulting debt.

Transaction categories and interest calculation

1. Non-cash transactions (0% interest)

This applies to standard card payments at physical outlets and online transactions.

  • Interest rate: 0% during the interest-free period.
  • Condition: Full repayment of the balance by the date specified on the statement.

2. Cash transactions (interest charged from the date of the transaction)

Applies to transactions such as ATM withdrawals and transfers from the credit card account.

  • No interest-free period: Interest on the principal amount used is charged from the date the transaction is carried out until the date of full repayment.
  • Settlement mechanism: The amount charged represents interest on the principal (it is not a transaction fee). In accordance with the terms of the agreement and the repayment schedule, any payment made towards the debt automatically covers the accrued interest first.
