What is the interest-free period?

Modified on Mon, 30 Mar at 2:02 PM

This is the period during which you can borrow money without being charged interest. At the bank, the interest-free period lasts up to 57 days and consists of a 30-day billing cycle plus 27 days for repayment.

The interest-free period applies only to cashless transactions (card payments). It does not apply to cash transactions such as transfers from the credit card account. In such cases, interest is always charged.
