How to open an account with UniCredit Poland – step by step?

We're glad you want to open a bank account with UniCredit!


To open an account with our bank:

  1. Download the UniCredit app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
  2. Select your country of residence as “Poland” and choose if you are a client or you wish to open the account.
  3. Choose if you're interested in a personal account or the business account. 
  4. Pick the product that you're interested in (depends on your choice, you might get the information whether it's possible to open without having the account or not).
  5. Enter your contact details (email and phone number).
  6. Enter the SMS confirmation code sent to the provided phone number.
  7. Set and confirm your access code (PIN).
  8. Confirm location settings and Touch ID/Face ID (optional).
  9. Choose whether you want to receive notifications or not (optional).
  10. Turn on the location (optional).
  11. Choose a way to verify your identity (mObywatel or a physical document).
  12. Scan the document and go through the face scan process.
  13. After successful verification, confirm and/or complete your personal information.
  14. Enter your address.
  15. Confirm whether you are a U.S. citizen or a U.S. taxpayer and provide your tax residency. U.S. citizenship does not allow you to continue the account opening process.
  16. Confirm whether you are a tax resident of a country other than Poland (only Polish tax residency allows you to continue).
  17. Confirm what is the general purpose of opening the account.
  18. Add information about your employment and source of income.
  19. Answer two legal questions and confirm if any your family member is a PEP (Politically exposed person).
  20. Review the contents of your chosen package.
  21. Accept the Terms and Conditions.
