I see a different exchange rate elsewhere than in Unicredit. Where does this difference come from?

Differences in exchange rates may result from several factors. Rates presented in various sources (e.g. online currency exchange offices, information websites or other banks) may vary depending on:

The type of exchange rate – At UniCredit, we present exchange rates that apply to our services and already include the bank's margin. Other sources may show interbank rates (so-called reference rates), which do not take into account currency conversion costs.

Data updates – Exchange rates change dynamically throughout the day. The time of exchange rate updates may vary between institutions.

The exchange rate policy of a given entity – Each financial institution sets its own rules for calculating margins and currency conversions, which affects the final exchange rate visible to the customer.

To obtain information on the exchange rate for a specific transaction, go to the transfers section and select the option to transfer from PLN to another currency. When you select the amount in a given currency (not in GBP), the exchange rate will be displayed. This rate will be used for the transfer and for the card transaction, assuming that it will be executed at the same time. The presented conversion amount already includes the calculated margin.
